K to G12 Tutor and Camp Leader

(K-12 Math, English, Science, Coding, Computer Science or other subjects)

Job Duties:

  • Provide one-on-one or class tutoring sessions to students in various subjects, including Math, Science, English and other subjects as needed
  • Assess students’ strengths and weaknesses to develop tutoring plans
  • Help students understand and apply concepts through interactive teaching methods
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians
  • Collaborate with center manager and parents to address specific learning needs
  • Lead non-school camps

Qualifications:

  • BC Certified teacher in good standing preferred
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency in English, Math, Computer Science, or other relevant subjects
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students of different ages and learning styles
  • Familiarity with classroom teaching methods and techniques
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Proficiency in using computerized educational tools and resources

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship / Co-op

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
Experience: teaching 1 year (preferred)

Flexible language requirement: French not required
