Chinese Textbook
Our “Chinese Textbook” has been designed specifically for overseas students by Jinan University, starting from 1996. It integrates language learning with cultural understanding, aiming to help children master Chinese in a fun and relaxed environment. Additionally, it avoids the parts of the People’s Education Press textbook that may be unsuitable for overseas children’s learning and comprehension.
Course Structure
- Content Design
- Beginner Level (G1-G2): Learn common Chinese characters, basic vocabulary, and simple sentences, ideal for students with no prior knowledge.
- Intermediate Level (G3-G4): Builds upon basic knowledge, introducing more complex grammar and vocabulary, encouraging students to engage in simple conversations and writing.
- Advanced Level (G5-G6): Enhances language proficiency by teaching more complex sentence structures and expressions, improving reading comprehension and writing skills.
- Core Content
- Character Learning: Through recognition, writing, and practice, students will master the structure and usage of Chinese characters. Each level covers 150-300 characters, accompanied by lively example sentences.
- Grammar Explanation: Progresses from simple to complex, gradually introducing Chinese grammar rules to help students understand sentence structures.
- Listening and Speaking Practice: By role-playing and situational dialogues, students develop oral expression skills and listening comprehension.
- Culture Learning
- Each textbook incorporates traditional Chinese festivals, customs, and stories, allowing students to learn about China’s cultural background.
- Activities related to festivals like the Chinese New Year and Dragon Boat Festival are designed to let students experience Chinese culture firsthand.
